Wetplate Collodion – My First Plates

August 10th, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

Over the weekend I had the pleasure to attend a live workshop with Quinn Jacobson and get my hands black from silver and other chemistry.

It was a very cool experience mixing all the stuff, pouring the plates, expose them with 19th century equipment, develop and varnish.

So here are my first plates… more to come as soon I have my own chemistry.

Enjoy,
VT

I did a workshop on that a couple of years back. Great fun, slow process. I wonder where my wet plate self portrait is? I’ll have to search.

I love these! For some reason the last two images remind me of an old style circus. Maybe its the clothes…
