Stan Strembicki figure and nude photography blog

This work is from a portfolio I’ve been working on for a few years now, on and off, doing in camera digital collage. Although the idea may seem anti tech, (like isn’t Photoshop the way to do this sort of thing), there is something to be said for the random aspects of combining two images in camera. All of these were show with a Nikon D3 and on location.

I have always loved the images of E.J. Bellocq, and this one image is inspired by his Storyville portraits. A continuing series.

I have a collection of fainting couches and always enjoy using it as a posing platform, models love to just melt into it. My sister found this one out on the curb for bulk trash in Storrs Ct. a few summers ago.

I have had a long term interest in the veiled figure, and how the body is seem and understood behind it.
