Stan Strembicki is currently a professor of art in the College of Art at Washington University in Saint Louis where he has taught since 1982. He has exhibited though out the USA and internationally and has taught in Florence, Italy since 1990. He was granted a National Endowment for the Arts Grant in 1993. |

This work is from a portfolio I’ve been working on for a few years now, on and off, doing in camera digital collage. Although the idea may seem anti tech, (like isn’t Photoshop the way to do this sort of thing), there is something to be said for the random aspects of combining two images

I have always loved the images of E.J. Bellocq, and this one image is inspired by his Storyville portraits. A continuing series. I have a collection of fainting couches and always enjoy using it as a posing platform, models love to just melt into it. My sister found this one out on the curb for bulk
