Lenore was one of the first models I ever shot with when I started this journey three years ago and we’ve shot together many times – mostly fashion or glamour. She teases me that it’s her job to keep me in touch with the glamour side of shooting while I pursue fine art. However, lately, we’ve started doing more nudes blending more fine art style shooting, but with a glam feel. I think this latest shoot shows that well. I always appreciate her creativity and willingness to experiment with different looks and lighting. In this session, we had coordinated her difficult pose with some overhead lighting provided by a 40 in softbox and grid directly over her. When I did the first test shot, the box was placed too close to the backdrop – throwing a shadow from the grid on it. OH Happy Accident…I love how the grid shadow frames her pose. In another we explored using one light aimed to her right overexposed causing a light fall off as it crosses her body. Love the dramatic lighting and with her heels providing a nice glam touch that I  think makes the image. In the other image, I’m experimenting with a mask series this year and here are some preliminary results using the same overhead lighting. Thanks Lenore for some beautiful work, your creativity and patience with my exploration.
