Something old..something new
I had an openingĂ‚Â on June 5th at my new studio which is located at the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts. I’ve been involved with the DCCA since 1979 including 2 stints on the board, but recently moved into one of 26 artist studios available for rent. The 2 images are of a light box I first exhibited in 1978, and the other just finished last week. I have been thinking about revisiting this process for awhile. I realize that I have had an interest in multiple, layered imagery which pre-dates photoshop by a couple of decades. It was interesting to get feedback from the large number of people who came through for the First Friday Art Loop. My favorite comment was from a 4 year old, while looking at the image of the two women under water said “They are best friends forever”
