I’ve never been a huge fan of feet, but you have to admit they can be fascinating at times…

Enjoy the weekend ![]()
I had my first shoot of 2010 yesterday. I really could not have asked for a better subject. It was my first time working with this particular model and lucky for me she was adventurous, creative, and just really good company to be around.
This particular image was taken in an abandoned house just outside of Olympia, WA.

Lately I’ve been shooting with 35mm more and more. I think my arms appreciate the lighter camera and my brain appreciates being able to just fire off shot after shot without worrying about running out of film.
I’m sure this is just a phase.

This image was taken with an old Polaroid 95A loaded with 4×5 film.
For anyone not familiar with the Polaroid 95A, it is in my opinion one of the most handsome cameras ever made. I pure work of art in and of itself. Sadly, the polaroid film it took stopped being made long before I was even born. However, one can load a single sheet of 4×5 film in it making it one of the only hand holdable “large format” cameras out there.
The only downside to the camera is that Polaroid insisted on using their own exposure system rather than the standard f/stop and shutter speed that everyone else uses. It takes some practice…
I was actually thinking about buying more of these beauties so I can take more than one shot at a time during a photo shoot…maybe even some 4×5 color.

This was a particularly difficult shoot. All I had on me was 100 speed Plus-X and the environment I was shooting in was rather dark. I ended up pushing the film all the way to 800 and just developed the hell out of it.
The result is rather grainy but I like it anyway!
