A Roll of Joy

It’s been nearly a year since I’ve pulled out the old Lomo LC-A for any photo shoots. I have to admit I’ve missed that little joy of a camera. It’s so liberating to just point and click and not worry about focus or exposure or even composition in some cases.

I think for this shot I was laying on the ground and holding the camera at arms length upside down.

Lately I have been doing a lot more just straight up nature photography. It’s liberating in a way to just head off into the woods and not worry about having someone with me. I get to explore a lot of places many people would be afraid to go.

I was experimenting with Adox CMS film which is very low grain but also very high contrast (in rodinal at least). I didn’t like most of the shots in the roll but for some reason this one works.
